I'll wait for you darling.

You've gotta dance like there's nobody watching
Love like you'll never be hurt
Sing like there's nobody listening
And live like it's heaven on earth

got a part time job doing cashiering at coldstorage recently. oh my, there's something to be said about cashiering... it's DAMN tiring :/ hahaha plus it's super complicated, there's so many different cards/cash rebate schemes/electronic deduction procedures that someone can use to pay (besides cash) and there's so many various promotions you must remember as well as the redemptions (with collectible stickers) that is always going on. and the loose fruits and veggies arent scannable, so you must remember 6digit number codes for each veggie/fruit by hard so that you wont have to flip the book frantically like an idiot while the customer taps his/her foot impatiently. and the diff types of apples/mangoes/pears/capsicums have diff codes?? so you must remember what ea type of mango/pear/apple looks like what LOL.

and you do that all standing up for hours at a time zzzzxc. haha, i've always been mega polite to service staff (waitresses/waiters/cashiers) and i always say thank you (sometimes the cashier doesnt even say thank you to me and IM the customer omggg lol). but now i know justttt how hard cashiering is, shall forgive their black faces eh? hmm but technically it gets easier as it sinks into your routine...

burnt my whole weekend working. and on weekdays, im gonna have jap class in morns-aftnns and cashiering at night. ^^ yay moneyyy. haha. hard earned tho :/ i now look at things in terms of hours of labour and it's sadddd. dont feel like buying anything anymore. hahahaha.

there's something to be said about language too. on my first day, i spoke english by default. as a result, when there were no customers, the cashier i was shadowing for the day didnt talk to me, coz tho they speak english to explain the procedures to me, they speak chinese for daily use. so they were joking around with everyone else. ahah so there was this invisible wall there. today i decided to speak in chinese after lunch break, and somehow in the space of 3 hrs, i spoke with this girl everytime there were no customers. about more easy going nonsense. sigh, i shall train my chinese then. lol the other cashier was so surprised i could speak chinese today. lol.
