Have so many things to blogg about!!! XD GUIDES has been so super funnfunnnfunnn these 2 months!! of coz its been fun before but now every post is about guides! well almost XD
Let's start with April Camp09 at Camp Christine (RGGuides Training Camp 09)!! Oh mannnn it was one of the best camps ever :D! Seriously :) The camp site was cool and something new, the food was good, the YAs were super nice and funny haha, and juniors and BATCHIIEESSS :D
Day one started off GREAT. Haha we were randomly playing childish games like those you play in primary school (ie. yi er san, wo men si wu liu, wo men qi ba jiu, wo men hao peng you... lahlahlah) haha super lame but funny at the same time! only batchies are so fun to act retarded with! XD then we played this game where you have to point in different directions and clap. haha and we were all laughing at YL. Yinleng plays it super super FUNNILY. we suspect its her strategy to distract pple with all her bouncy actions then we'll laugh and lose concentration then she'll win. HAHA.
On the bus ride later, we were STILL playing random p.school games and also started singing guides songs! but we remixed them to like rap. HAHA "Gako" in RAP FORM XD we played the game "HiHarry, Yes Harry, Tell harry hi harry" too! VERY FUN. AND weiqing serously cant be fooled. she was still harry at the end of the game GRAHHH
Anw my patrol was the "Orienteering Orangutans"!! FTW XD!! There was Yinleng, Me, Alicia, Shu Wen & Nanthini, 5 of us!!!
The rest of the day at camp was spent pitching our tents, (an extremely confusing affair, coz there were so many poles and the guy helping to teach us kept saying "NO WRONG. ALL WRONG"haha omg)
After bath time, we had Guides Own. All I can say is that that was the best Guides Own I ever had, and I'm sure many agree. It was touching, inspiring and really at that moment in time sitting on the floor in the circle, i felt like "Woa." I don't know, but it felt like we truly, really & surely BELONGED to this sisterhood, could almost feel the intangible bonds connecting one to everyone else, and you could look at almost everyone in that circle and really miss them when we part ways. We're on the way to the finish line of our 4 years journey, and we started thinking of past seniors who inspired us, of those GREAT seniors that came back as YAs and were sharing their stories with us, trying to guide us to feel the same passion as they do for Guides. Oh man. And I almost cried at one part, im sure everyone knows which part, coz quite a few were crying too. Anw. On to happier things, it was a great guides own.
Nn my ripples slippers BROKE. BOTH at the SAME TIME. Gah. Hehe i shall add on to the birthday wishlist that EVRYONE says is shameless XDD. Ripples Slippers, the white normal ones or the felt-like material ones with the one single strap horizontally across (Black). HAHA. Let me entertain myself for a while with self-delusions that I'll get these stuff, but anw its the thought that counts for prezzies! :) Nice me *ego* XD
SLEEP TIME XD *haha my fav parts of camp sometimes is the sleeping part but this camp's many other priceless moments beat them out XD* HAHA omg, me, yinleng, alicia and shu wen were talking a LOT after lights out, and i think practically everyone had already gone to sleep. haha then we turned to the left and we saw this human shape shadowed outline leaning outside the tent, could see thru the tent door, haha we were like OMGGGG. Then coz it wasnt moving, we were half freaking out and calling "Who's there". then the thing's head moved, and we saw a PONYTAIL. haha so we thought, must be Elyssa! then coz it wasnt moving again nor going off, we wacked the tent door and it ran off. haha notice the "it" XDDDDD hehe jkjk. Then later, alicia turned her head right and saw Glenys' leg at the door, she went OMG, then elyssa came from the other side and they ordered us to go to sleep haha. but thats not the end of it. Later, coz we werent shutting up, they came and pulled out our tent walls! out of the brailing pegs and all and pulled the groundsheet too, and started grabbing our legs, haha super funny, we were like wacking back thru the wall too. HAHA. after that i so guai-ly went to sleep. XD
2nd day. Haha the post is so long and its only the 2nd day!! told you the camp was fun. We spent the whole morning building gadgets then we had the Wide Game. HAHA SUPER FUNN!!! The games were GREAT, really good ideas, and some only required string and us jumping around. Our team was so FAIL at the bomberman game, X.X , we totally lost every round, and we only managed to win when we pitched 5 of our members against 2 of theirs :D hehe. At the end we had a game where we had to put on paint on our faces and shoot people with water guns, VERY fun, tho the game didnt work out! the only drawback was getting the paint out of our faces, it took a LOT of scrubbing and before that, haha sarah buddy's face was all YELLOW. amanda was greeny orange, and brenda was orange all over plus her shirt looked like someone just murdered her XDD. haha
Lunch was memorable. We heard that Rebecca cooked EVERYTHING. And it was super damn good. the chicken, egg and veggies! dun recall ever liking veggies that much! heh. we were extremely pei-fu of her the whole meal XD Anw, later we had OUTDOOR COOKING. And can i say that it was once again the best outdoor cooking ever. and i mean ever. did i mention ever? haha omgg should have learnt these food ideas for outdoor cooking last year to use for march camp this year! the food was SO GOOD. There was baked rice with sausage, capsicum, mushroom,pineapple, tomato sauce and MELTED CHEESE on top!! Chicken, BUTTER with CORN, AND COOKIES!!! ahhhhhhh. ahhhhh. ahhhhh. ahhhhh. ahha another thing was the fire, it was super BIG. and it totally felt like a sauna around the pit. nice man.
Campfire later! Tho it was a simple one, with just songs and no games, it was GOOD. The hosts were the two Rachel Tans! haha so cute! and and it was great fun and we were all high. so much so that later we stayed back there singing random songs like "Im a barbie girl"HAHA the song is kinda stuck in my head, coz we all sang it today (wednesday) during AA meeting AGAIN besides singing a gazillion times during camp and on the BUS. haha. i should stop repeating the word "Fun" but it describes everything the best!
Later bath time was FUNN! haha me and yinleng were in adjacent toilets and then coz i unwisely asked her how come she was so fast, she started putting in unwanted details. luckily i stopped her before i could hear anymore gory details XD. andand i stupidly picked the toilet with 2 LIZARDS above it! i kept looking up every 5 secs of bathing. later i decided to shout at the lizard. and it RAN down towards me a bit! WAHCRAP. haha
Sleeping time was great. I crashed sarah's tent earlier in the night and we were like all telling ghost stories. haha later i accidentally grabbed sarah and she screamed. thus putting the end to the merriment coz the Yas came out later :P hhaha nvm it was fun anw. Peixuan is super funny! she is so nice and angelic on the outside, but on the inside ah, hahahaha evil!
The last day was just packing up and cleaning up. Except for the fiasco with the lizard running around the kitchen and the plates and everyone was screaming. haha. The bus ride back was FUN(oops. i mean enjoyable, ecstatically exciting) again!
ohh but after camp ended, was reading the camp booklet at night, and was like AHHH MISS CAMP. And i swear the song "Land of the Silver Birch" is STUCK in my head. and Brenda didnt help things much either by encouraging me along as we both typed out the song lyrics in msn! HAHA XD I love land of the silver birch and pass it on!!! AHH.
